Michael, Twitter has changed in the four years since I wrote this post. To pin a tweet now, click on the down arrow in the upper right corner to get the drop down menu. Select “Pin to your profile page.”

In the drop down menu, select “Pin to your profile page.”
Select “Pin” in the pop-up window to confirm.
This does not work for me. The three horizontal dots do not give me a drop down menu. Anyone else have the same problem?
