I found the BookBub information after scrolling to the bottom of their homepage. The first couple of times I visited, I thought it was a site where I had to register before being able to access information. I have an aversion to providing my e-mail address unless there’s a valid need for it.

I have no problem with lending per se. Lending is fine if I get paid according to the agreement, but not so fine if I don’t.

BookBub’s emails are designed to share “deals” so yes, the books need to be discounted or free. If you have a series like I do, advertising a free book can make sense. BookBub has a lot of information about their selection process on their site, if you’re curious.
