Thanks for sharing your experience, Bob. On the bright side, your SEO investment did what it was supposed to do — help your site get found. But converting visitors to buyers? That’s really difficult for individuals. I like your last statement — “No more.” Lesson learned!

I thought it might be different with my Wix website. Same result. A slew of marketing outfits try to sell me their SEO services, several on some days, and I once paid $1,000 for one. My site reached No. 1 on the first page — and I didn’t get a sale.
